Power fault hits bingo

An electrical fault caused the cancellation of a bingo session at Ashford’s Mecca Bingo on Saturday evening.

The bingo club in the lower High Street confirmed on social media that an electrical fault left the centre unable run the regular evening bingo session.

The centre posted on Facebook, saying: “We have contractors on site working hard (more than likely through the night) to get us back up and running for tomorrow evening’s session.

“Keep an eye out for updates on here and via text message, and please take our sincere apologies for any disruption this may have caused.”

Power was fully restored on Sunday afternoon.
