Disneyland date on weekend of performance
More than 120 singers from the popular Ashford Sings! community choir enjoyed a short tour in France.
Last Friday the group sang in the cathedral city of Amiens and on Saturday were on the Videopolis Theatre stage in Disneyland Paris.
Later on Saturday, the group did a song as a flashmob to a surprised crowd before boarding a Bateaux-Mouche for a sight-seeing boat trip of Paris in the sunshine and finally returning home.
Alan Foxon, one of the singers, said: “This was a hugely exciting experience for everyone and we sang a variety of pop and rock songs.
“Ashford Sings! is all about community and having fun. For some people it was their first time in Paris so that really added to the thrill.”
The choir, led by Chris and Nic Kimmance, meets on Sun- day evenings at the Ashford Vineyard ‘Warehouse’ on Cobbs Wood and is open to everyone. For more information visit www. ashfordsings.org
