Sing to beat starvation
Villagers are being asked to sing to raise money for millions facing starvation in Africa. Sing for Sudan will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Hamstreet.
Musical groups will perform and there will be a mix of campfire songs, music hall, hymns and even Christmas carols. The organisers say: “Bring your donation, and ask family and friends for sponsorship.
“The singing is just the vehicle for fundraising, it’s the money that’s important.” The singalong, 10am to 3pm on Saturday, May 6 – will raise money for Save the Children.
