Police are hunting the driver of a modified Vauxhall Astra after a road rage incident between Pluckley and Hothfield.

The victim, the driver of a Volkswagen Golf, in his 40s, said the trouble started when he overtook the Astra on Monday, April 3, around 4.45pm.

He said that by the time he reached the junction with the A20 Ashford Road, the Astra had caught up with him.

He said the driver of the Astra tried to open his door before smashing his wing mirror.

The victim said he then drove away down the A20 towards central Ashford but was followed by the Astra driver.

The distance between the Astra being overtaken and the second attack on the victim’s car at the Drovers roundabout was nearly six miles.

When the man in the Astra caught up with him again at the Drovers rounda- bout he attacked the Golf again, causing further damage to panels on the front and rear driver’s side doors.

The Astra driver was said to be white, in his mid to late 20s, and of large build.
