‘working to make car parks safe’

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Drivers Divided Over Speed Ramp -

A Tesco spokesman said: “We are always working to ensure our car parks are as safe as possible for our customers.

“Work has recently taken place to install a speed hump on a pedestrian crossing at our Park Farm Extra store.

“In addition to the existing 5mph speed limit signage, we are fitting signs to alert drivers to the crossing.”

Management inside the store declined to comment on the furore over the new ramp when visited by a Kentish Express reporter last week.

The KE understands that scores of customers have either complained about the new ramp or reported damage to their cars when driving over it.
