Join wood friends for spring walks
The Friends of King’s Wood in Challock are holding two walks over the next week.
The first is this Sunday, and will be led by Jon Shelton of the Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership.
Meet at the cricket club in Boughton Lees on the A251 at 10am, with the return there by around 2.30pm. It is an 8-mile walk, so wear stout shoes and dress for the weather. There will be a lunch stop in Challock, where refreshments can be purchased.
The second walk, with a Twilight – Bluebells and Deer theme – is next Wednesday, 6.30-8pm. With the wood’s bluebells currently at their best, there will be a wonderful perfume and walkers may be lucky and see some wild deer. Meet in the lower forest car park on White Hill Road (TN25 4AP). The cost of both walks is £3.50 on the day but free to members.
Annual membership is £6 per person or £12 for a family. Accompanied children are free. For more information, please text 07523 203458 or email email@example.com.
