Woman given ban after drink-driving
A woman from Maidstone was banned from driving for nearly two years after being caught drink-driving on the A20 in Ashford.
Sonya Broughton, was sentenced on Thursday, April 6, at Thanet Magistrates’ Court.
She pleaded guilty to drink driving.
On Sunday, March 9, the 55-year-old, of Twyford Court, Maidstone, drove a Ford Focus on the A20, Ashford, and gave a breath test of 90 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates banned Broughton from driving for 23 months.
She must also pay a £220 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
