Special visit to school’s spring fair
High Sheriff of Kent George Jessel will be heading to The North School’s spring fair to meet members of their young farmers’ club at 11am on Saturday.
He said: “As a Man of Kent I am keen to lend my support to rural organisations, which provide so much help to their communities.
“I am also passionate about education, and hope that during my year I can involve young people in the projects I support.”
On his visit to the school, Mr Jessel will see the farm’s cows, calves, ewes and lambs, as well as their goats and small animals.
The incoming sheriff has his own farm business, with beef and sheep at East Brabourne and on Wye Downs.
The spring fair runs from 10am to 4pm and includes a barbecue, climbing wall, stalls and games as well as a chance to see the animals.
