Retailer backs colour-run fundraiser
Shoppers in Ashford’s County Square were encouraged to sign up to take part in the KM Colour Run when a promotional roadshow involving staff and volunteers from Specsavers and the KM Charity Team greeted families.
The annual event challenges adults and children to take on a 5km course while being covered in coloured corn-starch powder paint.
Runners take part raising sponsorship for any charity or good cause they choose, with a small slice of the funds going towards children’s literacy projects in the county.
Molly Salter, of Specsavers Ashford, said: “The KM Colour Run is fun for all the family. We are really glad to be a partner in the event, and very much looking forward to plastering everyone in coloured powder paint.”
Specsavers is sponsoring the event, enabling Kentish Express readers to receive a discount when booking online. Use code SpecsaversVIP when visiting www.kmcharitychallenge.co.uk
