Going with flow for Easter river race
More than 1,100 ducks battled it out for first place in the annual Easter Race in Smarden on Easter Sunday.
Around 500 people took part in the 17th annual event on the River Beult by the Flying Horse pub and raised £1,300 towards the village’s new pavilion.
Angela Phipps, secretary of the Smarden Sports Association, said: “It was really a great day. The weather was lovely and it was great to see so many people take part.”
