Tech firm boss aims to raise £3,000
Businessman Sean Malone, 48, from Ashford is running in aid of Cancer Research - aiming to raise £3,000.
Mr Malone is the founder of Fleet Trak, based in Repton Avenue which supplies and installs GPS technology.
He is taking part for family, friends and colleagues who have battled the disease or are currently suffering.
Mr Malone said: “I have been touched by cancer personally and deeply, sadly as have far too many of us.
“My friends, my family and I have all experienced the sorrow and pain of witnessing our loved ones suffer at the mercy of this cruel disease.
“This is the first time I have run more than a mile and the training thus far has been gruelling, never mind the strict diet. With sciatica, this is a major task for me.
“But with so many inspirational people past and present in my thoughts, I’m determined to succeed in their honour.”
Charlotte Fell, operations manager at Fleet Trak, said: “He is by no means a runner!
“But with sheer will and determination, his efforts to train and achieve his goals have surprised and inspired all of us.
“The reasons for him doing so are very close to all of our hearts.” To sponsor Sean, visit www. justgiving.com/Sean-Malone2
