Top scorer Ri­ley Al­ford hit his 39th goal of the sea­son as Willes­bor­ough Ath­letic con­firmed the run­ners-up spot in Di­vi­sion 2 C&E by beat­ing cham­pi­ons Cux­ton 91 2-1. Dion Bepe was their other scorer.

Al­ford net­ted six as Willes beat Ash­ford 12-1 last week and be­come the first team through to the Invitation Cup semi-fi­nals.

Ash­ley Boyd and Aurin John­son scored for New Rom­ney Re­serves as they went down 3-2 against Faver­sham United in the Ash­ford Char­ity Tro­phy fi­nal at Home­lands last Thurs­day.

The teams meet again in the Weald of Kent Ju­nior Char­ity Cup fi­nal at Lydd on Bank Hol­i­day Mon­day (11.30am).

United, who lost in last year’s 10-goal fi­nal against Lydd Town Re­serves have re­placed Brom­ley Green, who have with­drawn.

Ken­ning­ton were left with­out a Pre­mier Di­vi­sion game af­ter op­po­nents Guru Nanak cried off just an hour be­fore kick-off, claim­ing they were un­able to raise a side.
