Loo lorry on fire after M20 crash

Part of the M20 was closed after a crash on Tuesday.

Two lanes of the coastbound motorway were closed for several hours between junctions 9 and 10 at Ashford.

Eyewitnesses reported a large lorry, carrying portaloos, catching fire near the slip road.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 9.08am on Tuesday to reports of a collision involving two lorries on the M20 coastbound between junctions 9 and 10.”

One of the drivers was treated for injuries at the scene.
