Bowling alley’s £300k revamp
Ashford’s popular bowling alley is set to undergo a major transformation over the next few weeks.
AMF Bowling Ashford, in Station Road, is having a £300,000 makeover as it prepares to relaunch as Hollywood Bowl later this month.
The refurbishment will include a new Hollywood Diner serving gourmet hot dogs and burgers, freshly made shakes served in retro milk bottles and signature desserts, as well as a new American-style bar which will be offering house speciality cocktails and a wide range of beers and wines.
All of the 18 bowling lanes will be receiving an upgrade, including the four themed VIP lanes which were introduced in January.
There will also be new pool tables brought in, and new games introduced into the amusement area.
Both brands are owned by The Hollywood Bowl Group, which has 57 centres across the UK.
Work on the revamp began last week and the centre will remain open during the reconstruction period.
The refurbishment is set to be completed by Friday next week, with the VIP launch taking place on Tuesday, July 25. The centre will also have some new jobs available. For more information visit bowlingcareers.co.uk
