Pat Burt con­tin­ued his un­beaten run as Bid­den­den 1sts beat Can­ter­bury 3-2. The teams, se­cond and third in the league at start of play, were level at 2-2, be­fore Burt main­tained his im­pres­sive run, now span­ning four months, com­ing from 2-1 down to win the de­cider and the match. Nick Wallder won 3-0, while Mark Crich­ton, re­turn­ing from a back in­jury, clinched his match 3-1, be­fore Tom Swain went down 3-2 in a gru­elling con­test, and skip­per Chris Gor­man lost 3-1. Wallder was also in ac­tion for the 2nds ear­lier in the evening, win­ning the fi­nal match 3-2, in a 4-1 win at Black Lion (Gilling­ham). Fif­teen-year-old Tom Weeks recorded his first se­nior win, while Karl Ja­cobs and Dan Gold­smith, both won 3-0 to se­cure the vic­tory. Cap­tain Si­mon Ashby lost by the same score.
