Three lots of drama coming to village
The next in Lyminge Dramatic Society’s series of Plays in the Pub will be J B Priestley’s An Inspector Calls, to be read at the Coach and Horses in the village on Wednesday from 7.30pm.
The evening will be run by the society’s Barbara Harris, an actor/director/stage teacher of considerable experience. Anyone planning to go is asked to call her on 01303 862185. These Plays in the Pub are where members of the society sit around a table and read the lines of a play over a drink.
Anyone can join in. No experience is necessary, just turn up and have a bit of fun.
Casting for the society’s autumn production – An Evening With Alan Bennett – is on Wednesday, July 26, at 7.30pm at Sibton Park Cricket Club.
The show will run from Thursday, November 30 to Saturday, December 2 at Lyminge Village Hall. There will be an American supper with the audience encouraged to bring along food and drink, with the floor arranged with chairs around tables, cabaret-style.
Finally, travelling theatre company The Rude Mechanicals are making a welcome return visit to the Tayne Field, Lyminge, on Sunday, July 30, to perform The Commercial Traveller. Visit http://www.therudemechanicaltheatre.co.uk/
