Party in the Park - pictures

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Front Page -

Ashford was alive with music at the weekend for the 13th Festival in the Park. Building on the success of last year, the festival entertained visitors in North Park, near the Stour Centre, from Friday until Sunday evening. The programme of free live music and dance, which was organised by Edward Lockett, had more than 20 acts featuring solo performers, bands, child and adult dance troupes, mother and baby/toddler stands, an Ashford Museum stand, a fairground, a beer tent and food stalls. There was a special performance on the Sunday night from the North Park Hillbillies - an acoustic band made up from those involved with organising and running the festival. Mr Lockett said: “The acts were fantastic, the weather was great - it was a huge success.”
