Drink-driver’s 21-month ban
Magistrates have banned a motorist from getting behind the wheel after he was found to be double the drink drive limit.
Francis Standen, 23, from Snave near Ashford, was stopped by police driving a Peugeot 307 in Northdown Park Road in Margate on Sunday, June 25, this year.
He admitted drink driving after giving a breath test which showed he had 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Thanet magistrates banned him from driving for 21 months and ordered him to pay a £212 fine, £85 court costs, and £30 for a victim surcharge.
