Scoping inquiry revealed
Developers have approached the council about plans to build nearly 100 houses on farmland near Ashford.
ECE Planning has submitted a scoping request to Ashford Borough Council about land at Lenacre Hall Farm near Lenacre Street and Sandyhurst Lane.
Up to 99 houses could be build there, with 40% being listed as affordable housing. They would range from onebedroom properties to fivebedroom houses.
ECE director Huw James said the land lies outside of the area of outstanding natural beauty, while properties would be of “high architectural quality”, with plenty of open space.
