Farewell to school, with lots of drama

The Year 6 pupils at Willes­bor­ough Ju­nior School are leav­ing with a bang af­ter their suc­cess­ful school play.

The whole year – more than 120 pupils – took part in the pro­duc­tion of Shake­speare Rocks to mark the end of their time at the school.

They gave three per­for­mances of the com­edy play which is based on Wil­liam Shake­speare’s life, with a score of up­beat mu­si­cal num­bers.

More than 400 fam­ily mem­bers and friends sat down to watch the per­for­mances and ev­ery Year 6 child was in­volved, from per­form­ing to pro­duc­tion work off-stage.

Year 6 leader Clare Hay­lor and Year 6 teacher Lau­ren Pot­ter said: “Their act­ing, danc­ing and singing skills have been high­lighted and they have thor­oughly en­joyed be­ing in­volved in the pro­duc­tion.

“They are def­i­nitely leav­ing on a high.”
