PAR­A­LYMPIC TA­BLE TEN­NIS GOLD MEDAL­LIST WILL BAY­LEY PRESENTS AWARDS

Par­a­lympic ta­ble ten­nis gold and sil­ver medal­list Will Bay­ley was guest of hon­our at The North School’s an­nual sports awards evening.

Bay­ley, who took sil­ver in Lon­don 2012 and then achieved his dream of gold at Rio four years later, is ranked No.1 in the world.

Felic­ity Stro­ver col­lected three awards on the evening; one of which was per­former-of-the-year.

Other pupils com­mended were Rosan Gu­rung for his com­mit­ment to sev­eral clubs across the year, as well as Ross Bamp­ton for his abil­ity to show lead­er­ship skills way be­yond his years.

Spe­cial men­tion also went to both the un­der15 boys’ hand­ball team, who col­lected the most-im­proved-team ac­co­lade and the Var­sity bas­ket­ball squad, team-of-the-year award win­ners.
