TRIATHLETE TO CON­TINUE HIS WORLD AT­TEMPT AT OWLER EVENT

Keith Di­a­per con­tin­ues a world record at­tempt when he takes part in the Owler Triathlon on Sun­day.

He is aim­ing to race in 52 mid­dle dis­tance triathlons in 26 days, dur­ing the sea­son from April to Septem­ber and is due to com­pete in an event in Southamp­ton the pre­vi­ous day.

Di­a­per is rais­ing funds for the Hyper­mo­bil­ity Syn­dromes As­so­ci­a­tion.

The Owler dou­bles as the Tri Eng­land Na­tional Mid­dle Dis­tance Cham­pi­onships.

Clo­sure of the Con­ning­brook Lake at the Julie Rose Sta­dium means the swim takes place at Jury’s Gap in Lydd, start­ing at 8am with the com­peti­tors rac­ing from there to Ken­ning­ton.

The first fin­ish­ers are due at Julie Rose soon af­ter mid­day.
