Rail services disrupted after bike hit
A train hit a discarded bicycle between Folkestone Central and Dover Priory on Friday, just before 5.15pm, leaving 34 passengers stranded at the Shakespeare Tunnel in Dover.
Engineers were sent to the scene to make repairs to enable the train to move.
Trains between Folkestone and Dover were cancelled and replacement bus services were laid on between Ashford and Dover. Southeastern said Faversham to Dover and Ramsgate to Dover routes were also affected but that services were back to normal by 7.15pm.
