Score for hospice at summer fair
Ashford’s Pilgrims Hospice is getting set for its popular summer fair.
It takes place on Saturday, August 5, in the grounds of the hospice in Hythe Road from noon to 4pm.
Some of the nurses will be there in Hawaiian dress to encourage guests to try their hand at winning a coconut.
There is also a cream tea area and a team from Nike at the Ashford Designer Outlet will hold a beat-the-goalie competition.
There will be a free park and ride from Mersham-Le-Hatch business centre with buses running throughout the fair.
Victoria Friar, community fundraising manager, said: “Last year the money raised by the fair was able to provide for 1,125 hours of nursing care. Please help us to achieve that again this year.”
Entry is free.
