Pupils are good sports
A house group at Highworth Grammar School celebrated last week after winning at sports day for a fifth year in a row.
The event at the Julie Rose Stadium saw every pupil compete in a variety of events to win points for their house – known at the school as Learning Communities – including beanbag throwing, welly throwing and the threelegged race, as well as the more conventional track events.
Some of Highworth’s top athletes competed in the pentathlon, including Marshall Smith, who represents Kent in athletics.
Vanessa-Mae (VM) Community were again the overall winners.
