Hunt for man who at­tacked teenage girl

Po­lice have re­leased an im­age of a sus­pect who as­saulted a teenage girl on a foot­path near a beauty spot.

The teenager was sit­ting on a bench at Sin­gle­ton Lake in Ashford when a man with a dog walked past her.

The man ap­proached her from be­hind and grabbed her by the shoul­der, but she was able to pull away and leave the scene.

She did not re­port any in­juries and noth­ing was said dur­ing the in­ci­dent.

The sus­pect is de­scribed as be­ing a skinny Asian man, 5ft 9in, aged 27 to 35, with black hair, a black beard and brown eyes.

He was wear­ing a red vest top and sandy-coloured shorts and was walk­ing a dog, which may have been a husky.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at 6.30pm on Thurs­day, June 22.
