Browne in charge of club’s new academy
Ashford United have announced plans for their new under-19 Academy starting in September. Trials started this week and continue every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout this month, between 4.30-6pm at Homelands. Former Ashford player, ex-West Ham, Brighton and Dover defender Tony Browne is in charge of the new venture. He said: “Players going into Years 12, 13 and 14 will be coached for two hours each day, playing every Wednesday, as they complete BTEC Level 3 qualifications. There is also the option to complete a fully-funded personal training Level 3, which will allow candidates the opportunity to go straight into work and build their own personal training business.” Anyone interested should contact Tony @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
