Clean teens take on challenge ‘Trashford’
A group of teenagers have dedicated a week of their time to clear up the town and take on the “Trashford” challenge.
The National Citizen Service (group set up The Trashford Initiative in a bid to clear litter from parks and also raise money for Keep Britain Tidy.
Personal development charity CXK delivers the government funded scheme in Ashford, and said that the 14 youngsters were out every day last week, while others completed a 5k sponsored run.
The objective was to make the town somewhere to be proud of by removing litter in places such as Ashford International Station, the town centre, Mill Court and Victoria Park.
