Champions all at presentations
The Ashford Netball Senior League held their presentation evening for the 2017 Summer League. Goldwyn took home the top prize as winners of the Premier Division, with Homewood as runners-up. Breakaways White claimed the top honours in the First Division with Breakaways Blue finishing second, while in the Second Division, Countrystyle took top spot with TMC in second place. The star player awards went to Eve Davies, of Woodchurch King, in the Premier Division, with Lorna Wren (Mantarays) and Nicky Hardman (Stone Roses) sharing the honours in the First Division. Hannah Sweatman of Shakers was the Second Division star player. Debbie Woodward, Dawn Cox, Jo Legg and Sharon Williams were praised for their involvement with umpiring, while Julie Gill, Emma Williams, Mel Crawley, Lorna Wren and Allison Evans were thanked for their help with the Summer League. The Winter League commences on Monday, while pay and play sessions for beginner netballers aged 16 and over start on Monday, October 2 at 6.30pm. For details visit www. ashfordnetball.org.uk.
