‘i was so lucKy’
Another person keen to add more safety measures to the road is support worker Millie Goad, who lost control of her car on the bend.
She was driving to work in Ashford around 9am on Thursday, August 17, on roads that were wet after rain.
She said: “I live in the middle of nowhere so I drive carefully as I need my car. I know the road well because I drive along it all the time, in all conditions.
“It’s a bit blurry what happened. I was going about 35mph, if that, and I just lost control. The car skidded round the corner and started flipping.
“I was so lucky because the car landed upright and there was no oncoming traffic.”
Just 20 minutes earlier another driver had an accident on the same bend.
Millie, who had to have a week off work due to whiplash, said: “I haven’t driven along the road since.”
