Leading three continue to push on
Victories for the top three teams in the Ashford Five-a-side League kept them three points clear of the pack. Locomotive defeated Lolzors 2-0, All Stars beat Libyans 4-2 and McDonalds got the better of fourthplaced Sliders 2-0. Fifty-four-year old Steve Ward – who has been playing in the league since it was first founded in 1983 – scored both of Libyans’ goals. Toby Bromley scored both goals for McDonalds and their goalkeeper, Tony Intereri, also had an outstanding game. Stour Centre climbed up to fifth with a 3-0 victory over F.C.S, while Spartans defeated 3pointer 2-0. Paul Longman scored both goals and Craig Avery had an excellent game for New Inn, who defeated All Stars B 2-0.
