Vic­to­ries for the top three teams in the Ash­ford Five-a-side League kept them three points clear of the pack. Lo­co­mo­tive de­feated Lol­zors 2-0, All Stars beat Libyans 4-2 and Mc­Don­alds got the bet­ter of fourth­placed Slid­ers 2-0. Fifty-four-year old Steve Ward – who has been play­ing in the league since it was first founded in 1983 – scored both of Libyans’ goals. Toby Brom­ley scored both goals for Mc­Don­alds and their goal­keeper, Tony In­tereri, also had an out­stand­ing game. Stour Cen­tre climbed up to fifth with a 3-0 vic­tory over F.C.S, while Spar­tans de­feated 3pointer 2-0. Paul Longman scored both goals and Craig Avery had an ex­cel­lent game for New Inn, who de­feated All Stars B 2-0.
