Adult courses up for award
Kent Adult Education (KAE) has been nominated for a national award that recognises the opportunities it offers thousands of adults across the county.
The organisation is up against seven others in the Adult and Community Learning Provider of the Year category in the Times Educational Supplement Further Education (TES FE) Awards for 2018.
The awards celebrate excellence and innovative practice across the Further Education sector, with the winners announced at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday, February 23.
There are 13 KAE centres across Kent offering an extensive range of courses including languages, the arts, fitness and wellbeing, counselling and psychology, business and IT and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages).
Between 2016/17, more than 25,500 adults enrolled on KAE courses, which are aimed at all members of the community, with a number designed specifically for families and people in disadvantaged areas.
