Writer Helen starts day lecture season
Anew season of day lectures at Goodnestone Park Gardens, near Canterbury, star ts in March with Daily Teleg raph gardening writer Helen Yemm. Helen is best known for her weekly Daily Teleg raph “thorny problems” column, but taught basic gardening for years. A former presenter of the BBC’s Gardening from Scratch series, she is, however, a muddy-glovesand-wellies gardener. She lives at Wadhurst, near Tunbridge Wells. A spokesman for the gardens said: “As far as lecturing is concerned, de-bunking and demystifying are her speciality. No question is too daft and, fingers crossed, no problem insurmountable. Tickets for the day, Monday, March 23, from 10.30am to 4pm, are available at www.goodnesto neparkgardens.co.uk or on 01304 840107.
