Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - East Kent Property - - MONEYLIVING -

Mortgage lenders are showing fresh signs of cutting their rates as competition heats up in the market once more. The average rate available on a two-year fixed-rate mortgage deal across all deposit sizes fell to 2.68% in October, from 2.72% in September, according to figures from MoneySuperMar David Hollingworth, a spokesman for broker London and Country Mortgages, says that borrowers should weigh up the rate that comes with a mortgage deal against any fee, as well as taking into account any perks, such as free valuations and cashback.
