How to keep it fair if you’re going halves

Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - East Kent Property - - MONEY LIVING -

Planning to split bills 50/50 at summer festivals and sporting events can get in the way of a good time. Paym, which allows people to send and receive money using a mobile phone number has the following tips:

Before you head to the event, check how much you’re looking to spend. If you are looking to have a cheap and cheerful day out and your friend is eyeing up the champagne, you may need to have a further conversation about who is paying for what items.

Get organised. If you decide to split the cost evenly check who will be picking up the bill and whether they plan to take cash or put it on their card.

Set a date to settle up. Check your diary for the next time you’ll be at be at same place and let them know they can pick up their share of the bill then.
