Commute time key for couple

Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - East Kent Property - - HOMESNEWS -

A quick commute was a big attraction for a couple who have moved into a new home in Tonbridge.

Tristan Ward needed a fast rail journey for work in London, while partner Sarah Bailey needed easy access to her job in Maidstone.

Moving from the Midlands, the first-time buyers snapped up a three-bedroom home at Redrow’s Somerhill Green development in Tonbridge.

Finance analyst, Tristan, 26, said: “We needed a home with a quick commute to London as we knew that was where I’d look for work once I had qualified (which I did).

“And one that was within a reasonable distance from Maidstone where Sarah, a trainee psychologist, had got a new job.

“We looked at train stations with good routes into London and Tonbridge was perfect.”

Their new home is the Wey house type and is designed across three floors.

Surrounded by countryside, Somerhill Green is a development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. Homes available include the three-bedroom Darent, priced from £414,995. Show homes and the marketing suite are on Tudeley Lane, Tonbridge.
