Post-election slip in figures
Property asking prices fell in June for the first time since 2009.
According to Rightmove, newly-listed homes dropped by 0.4% as sellers appeared to lose confidence following the fall-out from the General Election.
The slip slowed the annual rate of price increase to 1.8%, the lowest since April 2013.
However, there was still plenty of good news for the housing market as the property site said that agreed sales increased by 11% in the North and 3% in the South.
