Fab family houses on city’s edge
Two-year-old twins Benjamin and Noah Reynolds are having double the fun since they moved into a new five-bedroom home at Preston Grange, near Canterbury.
The boys’ canny parents, Harriet and Chris, used the government’s Help to Buy scheme to help secure the detached house at the David Wilson Homes development, which is in the village of Preston.
Harriet, 31, says: “I loved being within a 20-minute walk of Canterbury city centre, but the older and more active the boys got, the more we needed to move.
“The new house is huge, and the boys have their own playroom, a big garden to run around in, as well as equally sized bedrooms, which will save on any arguments in the future.”
Four and five-bedroom houses are currently available at Preston Grange, with prices starting from £482,995.
On the edge of the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, all purchasers at Preston Grange receive a free Kent Wildlife Trust membership when they move in. There is also a footpath to local meadow land and a new play area.
