Ballet for children

A re-imagined version of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella, is set to introduce children to the beauty of ballet.

The English National Ballet’s production, My First Ballet: Cinderella premieres at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on Thursday, April 6, until Saturday, April 8. Suitable for ages three and up, the show is an hour long and has a narrator to help young audiences follow the story.

Tormented by her stepsisters and not allowed to go to the Prince’s ball, Cinderella is left behind to an evening of chores, when she is visited by her Fairy Godmother who transforms her into a princess. Choreographed by George Williamson, award-winning former student of English National Ballet School, the My First Ballet series is in its sixth year and has been seen by more than 200,000 people.
