Enjoy some classic 1980s film action at Dreamland this weekend

Enjoy some 80s nostalgia with the dream team of The Lost Boys and Dirty Dancing.

The 1987 American horror comedy directed by Joel Schumacher and starring heart-throbs of their day Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland and Corey Feldman will be screened in the open air at Dreamland on Saturday, August 26. The free screening even drew the attention of star Corey Feldman, who liked the Margate attraction’s tweet about its outdoor screening. The evening will include live music and a Lost Boys-themed quiz for diehard film fans. There will also be food on offer from the Friendliest Food Court Ever. Gates open at 6pm, with the quiz from 8pm and the film, which has a 15 certificate, starting at 8.45pm.

The following night, on Sunday, August 27, the spotlight falls on Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey with Dirty Dancing, which was released the same year.

The evening includes a DJ set by Lord Anthony from 6pm, a Dirty Dancing quiz at 8pm and the 12 certificate screening from 8.45pm.

Filmgoers can bring their own blankets, pillows and chairs, but alcohol, barbecues, large umbrellas and laser pointers are not allowed.
