LAND, SEA AND AIR
There’s double the fun down at Dover this weekend with both a music festival and the port’s community regatta. Angela Cole looks at what the weekend has in store – both on land and sea
It’s a fantastic festival of family fun on land, sea and even sky. On land, the Port of Dover Community Regatta on Sunday, August 27, will feature a climbing wall, arena displays from emergency services and community, craft and food stalls and plenty of live music.
There will also be rugby tasters and face painting for children, plus a dazzling display of vintage and classic cars from Dover Transport Museum, showing their gleaming chrome on the seafront.
On the water, there will be sea sports to try your hand at and boat races, as well as the RNLI air-sea rescue. Overhead, look out for the Old Flying Machine Company Spitfire display.
Head to Dover seafront for a day of family fun between 10am and 6.15pm.
