Michelin Stars in chefs’ eyes

Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - What's On - - FOOD & DRINK -

Chefs and restaurant owners will find out if they have made it into the prestigious Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2018 when it is published on Monday .

The all-important Michelin Stars will also be announced that day at a live event at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

The guide was first published in 1900 to show motorists where they could find great food and accommodation as well as essentials like tyres, but has gone on to become a global benchmark for dining quality.

More than 3,000 places to eat and sleep are recommended, with some awarded Michelin Stars for the quality of their food and Bib Gourmands, which are awarded to eateries offering particularly good value.

Look out for more on the announcement, at kentonline.co.uk/whats-on and in next week’s What’s On.
