Bene­dict’s Ham­let back on screen

There’s a chance to watch Bene­dict Cum­ber­batch in ac­tion next week.

He and the cast of the 2015 Na­tional Theatre pro­duc­tion of Ham­let – which in­cludes for­mer Maid­stone school­boy Rudi Dhar­ma­lingam – re­turn for an en­core on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 5.

Such was the ex­cite­ment for the stage show in Lon­don, tickets sold out in min­utes. Rudi, who play’s Ham­let’s friend, Guilden­stern, at­tended Maid­stone’s In­victa Gram­mar School sixth form.

He said of the screen­ings: “It’s a great way of mak­ing theatre ac­ces­si­ble.”

The en­core screen­ings are on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 5, and are at Maid­stone and Chatham Odeon cin­e­mas, Cur­zon Can­ter­bury, the Gul­benkian in Can­ter­bury and Rochester and Ash­ford Cineworld. Visit ntlive.na­tion­althe­atre.org.uk to book.
