Best­selling au­thor Lee Child will be popping in to Blue­wa­ter next week. His 18-year ca­reer with Granada Tele­vi­sion was a “golden age” of Bri­tish tele­vi­sion when his com­pany made Brideshead Re­vis­ited, The Jewel in the Crown, Prime Sus­pect, and Cracker.

At 40, he lost his job as part of a re­struc­tur­ing, and in­stead start­ing writ­ing, with Killing Floor be­ing the first in the Jack Reacher se­ries.

His lat­est, The

Mid­night Line, sees

Jack on a raw and el­e­men­tal quest for sim­ple jus­tice.

He will be at


Water­stones on Mon­day,

Novem­ber 13 at

1pm, meet­ing fans and sign­ing copies of The Mid­night

Line. Vis­i­tors will need a copy of the book to meet him.
