Last curtain call for classic

Kentish Gazette Canterbury & District - What's On - - STAGE -

The classic tale by Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck - Of Mice and Men - has its last weekend on stage in the county this weekend. Selladoor productions in association with the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury have been staging the 10-week UK tour of the landmark Steinbeck classic. Set in the Great Depression, it tells the story of George and Lennie, two migrant ranch workers who dream of owning their own ranch. The story is both a powerful portrait of the American spirit and a heartbreaking testament to the bonds of friendship and what it means to be human and is as relevant today as when it was written.

It is at the Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, until Saturday, March 31. For tickets visit assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk or call 01892 530613.
