Man accused of burglaries
A man is accused of going on a burglary spree while carrying a knife and Class A drugs.
Farley Matcham, 45, appeared in court on March 23 charged with breaking into two properties and attempting to burgle two others.
He was arrested in Goodnestone, near Dover, shortly after a break-in was reported to police at about 10.30am on Wednesday. He was charged with the burglary, as well as another in nearby Barfrestone earlier that morning.
On the same day he is charged with trying to burgle a different property in Barfrestone and one in Chillenden.
When arrested he was reported to have been possession of a folding knife, heroin and crack cocaine – offences for which he has also been charged.
Matcham, of Siberts Close, Shepherdswell, was remanded in custody by Medway magistrates and will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on April 20.
