The duo say that apart from their families and friends, they missed cups of tea, home-cooking and a comfy bed most.
They left Canterbury last June, escorted to Dover by members of Canterbury Velo Club.
And it was the group, led by ride sponsor Paul Barrett, which again accompanied them back home on the final leg from Great Ormond Street Hospital to Canterbury.
So far, including gift aid, they have raised more than £14,500.
They later celebrated their homecoming with a reception at the Jolly Sailor in Canterbury.
George said they might consider another big ride in the future, but added: “Maybe not quite so far next time.”
