Teens give their time for oth­ers

Teenagers from Can­ter­bury on the Na­tional Ci­ti­zen Ser­vice pro­gramme have just held their NCS ac­tion week.

The 15 to 17-year-olds took part in ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing cook­ing for rough sleep­ers at home­less­ness char­ity Catch­ing Lives in the city and vis­it­ing the Gul­benkian Theatre with a view to mak­ing a top­i­cal film later in the year. Pro­gramme di­rec­tor Chris Bates said: “Our city is filled with young peo­ple who are will­ing to give their time freely to good causes.”
