Give your grey matter a workout at the Big Quiz
Quiz fans can give their wits a workout for charity at the University of Kent’s sports centre.
More than 40 teams are expected to battle for glory at Kent Sport on Friday, April 21.
The quiz will raise money for good causes, including this paper’s charity of the year, the Motor Neurone Disease Association East Kent.
Max Campbell, of Kent Sport, said: “We will transform the sports hall into a luxurious venue for the quiz. It will be a great place to hold what we hope to be a record-breaking year for the event.”
Organised by this paper’s charity department, the quiz will offer a host of prizes, including Hornby collectables plus the chance to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.
A team from Barclays bank will serve the drinks at the Shepherd Neame bar. The League of Friends of Kent and Canterbury Hospital will supply the food in return for a share of the charity pot.
Children’s literacy and road safety services will also benefit from money raised on the night.
Event organiser Dominic Comins, of the KM Charity Team, said: “Bring friends, family or work colleagues to the highlight of the quiz calendar. Teams will enjoy table wine, a selection of delicious treats and the chance to win some fantastic individual prizes throughout the night.”
Top teams will claim a place in the county wide Big Quiz final.
