Driver banned

A 27-year-old motorist found drunk at the wheel of a Vauxhall Vectra on Canterbury’s ring road has been banned from driving for 18 months. Gheorghe Lisandru, of Squire Avenue, Canterbury, admitted the offence after a test revealed he had 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of his breath. The limit is 35. He was arrested on April 29 and sentenced by Thanet magistrates, who also fined him £355.
